Bustling downtown Evanston is about to get even hotter this June as it rolls out the welcome mat of creativity that is Fountain Square Artisan SummerFest. Featuring tons of artwork, live music, and food, this is one summer event everyone in your family is sure to love! Check it out this Saturday, June 22nd.
Held just steps north of Downtown Evanston’s eponymous (and recently renovated) Fountain Square, the North Shore’s oldest fine arts happening is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2019. Presented by the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, it will showcase an inspirational mix of juried handiwork from nearly 100 eclectic artists.
For the young ones, there will be an activity area with several nifty interactive projects overseen by the Evanston Art Center. And to keep things jumping, there’s also a music stage, food, beer and wine vendors, and entertainment courtesy of strolling street musicians and performers.
Fountain Square Artisan SummerFest is hosted by Evanston Chamber of Commerce and Special Events Management. Special Events Management is by far the largest full-service producer of events in the Midwest. This includes many of Chicagoland’s most popular and best-known runs/walks and art/street festivals. In fact, each year nearly 500,000 individuals participate in SEM-produced runs/walks while another 1.5 million visit art and street fests.
